Emma Stone
Emily Jean Stone, also called Emma was
born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was the daughter of Krista
Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a homemaker as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone
(CEO of a company for contracting founder and CEO). She is of Swedish, German
& British Isles descent. Stone started acting when she was a young
participant in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her
stage debut in an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows".
Through her teens, she appeared in many other productions until she decided to
make acting her profession. The official narrative is that she put together an
PowerPoint presentation, backed up by Madonna's "Hollywood" and
itself entitled "Project Hollywood", in an effort to convince her
parents to let her leave school and move to Los Angeles. The presentation was
successful, and she and her mom moved to LA with her schooling completed at
home. There she would spend her time auditioning. Her TV debut came when she was
cast as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the Partridge
Family (2004). The show led to a variety of minor TV roles throughout the
years. After a string of success in the role, her appearance as Olive in Easy A
(2010) was her movie debut. She was a student at Xavier College Preparatory,
Phoenix, Arizona. Although she's a redhead, the natural hair color of her hair
is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color to
Superbad (2007) and she was so pleased with it that she chose to keep it. When
she was 15 she convinced her parents she was able to move to Hollywood. She
made this happen by creating an PowerPoint presentation titled Project
Hollywood. She began acting at 11 years old in Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here,
she starred on over 16 stages. She also performed in the comedy improv troupe
of the theatre. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth Theatre.
