Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for the distance of 200 meters. The following year, she won her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top third in each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
